STALEKS PRO Rounded cylinder bit, blue, 2.5 mm — a medium abrasive bit with diamond coating for delicate skin treatment. This shape treats side walls, calluses, cracks, removes gel and acrylic overflows, polishes nail plates before applying artificial material. It is advisable to avoid treating natural nails with medium grit abrasive.

The bit is made by coating a medical-grade stainless steel blank with diamond grit. Medium-grain particles are applied: evenly and densely covering the entire working area, without gaps or clumping. The grit is fixed through a galvanic process: a thin layer of nickel holds the diamond grains, making the bond strong and durable.

This coating technology gives the working area hardness, wear resistance, and eliminates surface irregularities. Thanks to the high quality of the grit, the bit lasts longer, and its rotation center does not shift when working at high speeds of the drill.

A nail grinding bit delicately treats side walls, quickly polishes nail plates, eliminating unevenness, and removes material overflows. It is important to treat the area smoothly, without pressure, avoiding sharp movements and prolonged impact on one spot.

When performing a pedicure, heel crack bits with blue marking gently and quickly treat cracks, dry calluses, corns, and remove skin thickening without risk of injuring the client.

Maximum permissible rotation speed up to 30,000 rpm. It is important to adhere to the recommended speed for each type of bit and procedure to avoid overheating or injury to the client.

Optimal speed for manicure procedures:

  • Natural nails, skin, thousand rpm: 5-10 — filing, thickness reduction, grinding, polishing; 10-15 — cuticle removal, side wall grinding, pocket cleaning.
  • Artificial nails, thousand rpm: 15-20 — thickness removal, shaping; 20-25 — coating removal, design; 25-30 — free edge shaping; over 30 — certain types of design, other work.
  • Pedicure, thousand rpm: 5-15 — removal of corns, skin grinding; 15-25 — crack cleaning, removal of superficial calluses; 25-30 and more — work with core calluses, other types of work.

The blue-marked bit for grinding skin around the nail is safe when used correctly and is corrosion-resistant. It will not be damaged during sterilization and disinfection (cold or hot), except when using disinfectant solutions based on active oxygen.

Features of the Staleks Pro EXPERT FA30B025/10 diamond rounded cylinder bit:

  • purpose: pedicure, hardware manicure;
  • shape: rounded cylinder;
  • base material: stainless steel;
  • high-quality diamond coating;
  • marking: blue;
  • abrasiveness: medium;
  • working part size: length — 10 mm, diameter — 2.5 mm;
  • recommended speed: up to 30,000 rpm;
  • service life: 3-4 months;
  • corrosion resistance;
  • per package: 1 pc.

Use of the Staleks Pro EXPERT 2.5 mm blue rounded cylinder diamond bit:

  1. Choose the tip according to the type of area being treated: bit for removing gel, grinding, filing length, etc. It's also important to follow the recommended rpm to avoid overheating or injuring the client.
  2. Do not drop or hit the tool — this can cause the center of rotation to shift and lead to defects. A deformed tip must not be used.
  3. Regularly check the centering of the side wall treatment bit visually or with a special tool.
  4. During work, use gloves, safety glasses, or a face shield.

Cleaning diamond bits

  • Immediately after use, remove the bit from the handpiece. Using a soft brush, gently remove any remaining nail dust and other contaminants. Try not to scratch the surface to avoid damage.
  • For removing light contaminants, washing with running water and a brush is not recommended to prevent the spread of splashes with possible infectious agents.
  • Disinfection: prepare a disinfectant solution, place the bits in it, following the manufacturer's instructions for concentration and time. It is recommended to choose products that destroy hepatitis B and C viruses, dermatomycoses.
  • Washing: use a container with warm soapy water and a mild detergent. Soak the tools for 10-15 minutes to soften any remaining contamination. An ultrasonic bath can be used for deeper pre-sterilization cleaning.
  • Sterilization. Place the tools in sterilization pouches intended for a dry heat sterilizer, or in autoclave containers to protect them from damage and ensure proper air or steam circulation.
  • Sterilization time in a dry heat sterilizer: at 180°C — 60 minutes, 160°C — 150 minutes. Autoclave: at 120°C, pressure 1.1 atm — 45 minutes; 132°C, pressure 2 atm — 20 minutes. After the process is complete, it is recommended to leave the bits undisturbed for 1 hour to avoid sudden temperature changes.
  • Regularly check the operation of the autoclave or dry heat sterilizer using biological indicators.
  • Store in a dry, clean condition in a closed container. Choose a dry storage location to prevent rust or mold. Avoid getting moisture, dust, loose, or abrasive substances between the working surfaces.

When to replace the tool:

Proper use, storage, and cleaning will maintain performance for up to 3-4 months.

When it's time to replace the bits:

  1. The metal has corroded, the coating has become uneven, with bald spots.
  2. The working area has lost abrasiveness, become smooth in places, clogged with material. Chips and burrs have appeared on the tip of sharp shapes.
  3. Material is removed longer than usual, prompting the urge to press harder to get results.
  4. The tool vibrates during coating removal and causes a burning sensation.
  5. Warpage. Bits can become warped from drops, long-term use, or break down from aggressive disinfectants and high sterilization temperatures. They bang loudly against the client's nail, overheat from vibration, which shortens the life of the handpiece.
