Which format of wipes to take for your work
Almost everything here is labeled the same — "lint-free wipe" — but behind this word very different things are hidden: from a polyester rectangle 60 × 40 mm to a spunlace mesh 20 × 20 cm. So the choice starts not with the brand, but with what exactly you do with this wipe.
First size, then quantity
The most common mistake when ordering online is comparing packs by the number of pieces. Kodi Clean Touch 500 pieces and Timpa mesh 50 sheets are completely different packs: Kodi sheet is 60 × 40 mm, Timpa — 20 × 20 cm, i.e., about seventeen times larger in area. Small wipes are taken for removing dispersion and treating one plate; large ones — for tools, lamps, and work surfaces.
The intermediate size is the working classic: Staleks SMART and PRO EXPERT at 4.5 × 4.5 cm, MicroSTOP 5 × 5 cm. Such a sheet covers the finger pad and is not wasted.
Pack or perforated roll
Perforated wipes DNKa’ and Staleks PRO EXPERT tear off one by one, like a paper towel — convenient when the other hand is busy. Regular packs — Staleks SMART, Kodi, MicroSTOP — are faster when you need to grab a handful of wipes, for example when removing coating. The sign is simple: the word "perforated" is right in the product name; there is no separate filter for this.
Material and color are not decorative
Spunbond (Staleks, DNKa’) is a dense non-woven fabric; the manufacturer states that it holds its structure even when well moistened. Timpa spunlace mesh is softer and comes in the largest sheets — 10 × 10 and 20 × 20 cm, white and blue. For Kodi, the card indicates polyester fiber, the sheet is the smallest in the section. Color also has practical meaning: on white SMART you can see how dirty the wipe is, pink PRO EXPERT won't show that, and blue Timpa mesh doesn't get lost on a white table among other disposables.
How many to take at a time
The packaging step in the section is wide: 50 and 100 sheets for Timpa mesh, 200, 600 and 1000 for perforated DNKa’, 325 for MicroSTOP, 400 and 700 for Staleks, 500, 1000 and 1500 for Kodi. For home, the smallest pack lasts a long time, and there is no point in taking a thousand. In a salon with a flow, the logic is the opposite — it is more advantageous to take the maximum format of the brand you are already used to: wipes of different brands feel noticeably different to the touch, and changing a familiar material in the middle of a work week is inconvenient. Of the five brands in the section, only Kodi Professional is manufactured in the USA; the rest are Ukrainian.
One trap of this section
Along with lint-free ones, cosmetic paper wipes in a roll have ended up here. They are not lint-free: paper leaves fibers directly on the freshly removed sticky layer. It is easy to check — in the "Material" filter on the left there are only two values, spunbond and spunlace mesh, and the paper roll does not fall under either.
What to put in the same box
