How to choose cuticle scissors
In the section there are 65 cards, and 41 of them are STALEKS. The rest are shared by RAIZ, EDLEN, TOUCH, OSTRO, HEYLOVE and OLTON. Brands label their models differently: some encode the line and number, others write a name and millimeters. Below is how to read these names so you don't pick a neighboring item.
First, filter out what is not for cuticles
Cuticle models are the majority here, but not all. For nails — STALEKS SMART 30 TYPE 1, CLASSIC 62 TYPE 2 and RAIZ HOME form 8 size S; children's — CLASSIC 32 TYPE 1; for eyebrows — EXPERT 30 TYPE 1 with 32 mm blades. The model CLASSIC 31 TYPE 1 the manufacturer labels directly as “for nails / for eyebrows”. Three cards are micro scissors EXPERT 90 TYPE 1, EXPERT 90 TYPE 2 and EXPERT 93 TYPE 1, they are also tweezers; a wider selection of them lies in the tweezers section. Another item is not scissors at all, but a men's manicure set TOUCH of four pieces. A faster way than scrolling the grid is the “Type” filter in the left column: there are separate values “For cuticles”, “For nails”, “For eyebrows”, “Children's” and “For left-handed”.
One name should be read twice: SMART 40 TYPE 3 is labeled in English as Nail scissors, and in Ukrainian as “scissors for skin”. If you are looking specifically for nail scissors, rely on the Ukrainian part of the name.
STALEKS: line, model number, TYPE
Forty-one STALEKS cards are laid out across six lines — EXPERT, EXCLUSIVE (Magnolia series), SMART, CLASSIC, UNIQ and BEAUTY & CARE. The name reads as “line + number + TYPE”, and the word TYPE here does not mean the type of tool: it is a variant of the same model. This is most clearly seen on left-handed EXPERT 11 — TYPE 1 has 18 mm blades, TYPE 2 — 21 mm, TYPE 3 — 23 mm. In other lines, the length is not put into the name: millimeters appear only in 17 out of 65 cards, so in most cases the size will have to be viewed in the card specifications rather than in the name.
In UNIQ, the manufacturer has given models their own names — “Ballerina” (UNIQ 10) and “Asymmetric” (UNIQ 20 and 30). This is the same scheme, just with a label instead of a bare number.
Straight blades or with a hook
Nine cards are labeled “with hook”: EXCLUSIVE 21 and 23, EXPERT 51 TYPE 3, SMART 41 TYPE 3, SMART 50 TYPE 3 and TYPE 4, and also left-handed EXPERT 13 TYPE 3. There is no separate line for them — hook models stand adjacent numbers within the same series. That is, if you work with straight EXCLUSIVE 22, look for the hook version in this same series under numbers 21 and 23.
For left-handed — exactly five models
Four STALEKS (EXPERT 11 TYPE 1, TYPE 2 and TYPE 3 with 18, 21 and 23 mm blades and EXPERT 13 TYPE 3 with hook) and one TOUCH Cuticle Scissors Left at 92 mm. All five have LEFT or “(for left-handed)” in the name — there are no mirror versions of the remaining lines in the section. If your usual series is not in this list, you will have to choose from the five available.
RAIZ: form is shape, size is size
Nine RAIZ cards are labeled with two parameters that are easy to confuse as one. Form 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 are blade geometry, while S, M and L are length. So WORK form 2 size M and WORK form 2 size L are the same shape in two sizes, and form 1 size S and form 3 size S are, conversely, different blades of the same length. The brand has two lines: WORK (six cards) and HOME (three, among them nail scissors HOME form 8).
Because of this, the “Collection” filter looks motley: its eight values belong to two brands at once — BEAUTY & CARE, CLASSIC, EXCLUSIVE, EXPERT, SMART and UNIQ are STALEKS, while WORK and HOME are RAIZ. The “Material” filter here is generally decorative: it has only one value, “Metal”.
EDLEN, TOUCH, OSTRO, OLTON: name instead of code
These brands do not use model numbers. EDLEN gives five named scissors: “Rapira” and “Rapira Pro” at 95 mm, “Lux” and “Master” at 100 mm, “Elite” — 113 mm. TOUCH divides its into Normal 90 mm, Left 92 mm, Comfort 98 mm and Large 100 mm. OLTON — one model at 90 mm with a leather case. OSTRO gets by with words: Standard, Mini and a separate item with a thin blade.
An important nuance: 90–113 mm in these brands is the total tool length, whereas “blades 18 mm” in STALEKS is the length of the working part. These numbers cannot be compared between each other.
