Numbers, NOTN and three spellings of one product line
Numbers are the easiest way to navigate NOTD—and the quickest way to make a mistake. A number acts as a coordinate within a product line, but the lines overlap here, and some numbers are repeated.
One number—two different shades
This is not theoretical: in the Let’s Special grid, #269 appears on both Dusty Rose and Lollipop—two different gel polishes with the same number within one line. #199 appears in NOTN Cosmopolitan. Let’s Special Interstellar has no number at all. The practical conclusion: search by number, but order by the full name and SKU.
One line, three spellings
Let’s Special appears in the catalogue as “NOTD. "Let’s Special" Gel Polish, RAFAELLO, #005”, as “NOTD Gel Polish Let’s Special Sakura, #201”, and as “NOTD. "Let’s Special" , Gel Polish, Charm, #175”. Quotation marks, word order and language vary between product pages, so exact-phrase searches work poorly here. It is more reliable to open the gel polish section and search by shade name.
NOTN is the reflective part of the brand
If you are looking for “reflective NOTD”, you actually need NOTN: this label covers Reflective Base, Reflective Gel polish and Reflective Polygel, Korean Cat eye, and SNOW and Opal top coats. You can recognise them even by shade names—the reflective gel polishes have cocktail names: Martini, Cosmopolitan, Daiquiri, Margarita, Mohito, Sangria, Spritz, Blue Lagoon, Manhattan and Bombay. Both labels are in the same brand section; there is no need to search for NOTN separately. The cat-eye magnet is not included—it is in the tools section or the general category of magnets.
Top coats: the property is in the name
No Wipe means no tacky layer; Wipe means there is one; no UV means no UV filters; Universal has a minimal amount of them; the manufacturer labels No Stress as scratch-resistant. The coloured versions follow a separate logic: Color Top has one continuous range, with stained-glass shades simply marked Vitrage. #06 is an opaque red, #07 Vitrage a translucent burgundy, #08 an opaque black, and #09 Vitrage a stained-glass black. Opacity is therefore indicated by the word beside the number, not the number itself. Compare other brands in the general top coat section.
Bases: clear ones by purpose, camouflage ones by number
Among the clear bases each product has its own purpose: Rubber is rubber-based, Fiber contains nylon fibres, Scotch is a thin base for natural nails and pedicures, and Builder Strong is a builder base. Camouflage bases mainly mean Cover Base NEW Formula #01–#47 in 10 and 30 ml, with Potal, silver or gold shimmer, and Light pigment subgroups. Not every number comes in the larger format: #17 and #19–#25 currently appear in the grid only in 10 ml, so check separately whether your favourite shade has a large bottle.
Gels: jar or bottle
Builder Gel comes in 15 and 30 ml jars numbered #01–#106, with gaps in the sequence: #13 is followed directly by #20, and #25 by #45. The manufacturer describes Bottle Gel as an extra-strong gel in a brush bottle and numbers it separately, №1–№48, so the same number on a jar and a bottle identifies two different products. Then there are 30 ml Polygel, Liquid Acrygel and 15 ml Smart Jelly Gel, Cold Builder gel, and stained-glass Vitrage Builder Gel #49–#54. Find equivalents from other brands under gels and acrygels.
The nail polish system is not a gel coating
Five products are easy to confuse with the rest of the section: classic nail polish, Top Coat sealer, drying spray and calcium strengthener—all in 11 ml and requiring no lamp. If you specifically need a gel coating, this nail polish system will not suit you; regular polishes from all brands are collected here.
