Ülka: how to put together a kit for your dust collector
Ülka is a Ukrainian manufacturer of equipment for nail studios, and this section works differently from brand sections for nail polishes. There are no shades or bottle sizes here—there are appliances and their consumables. One rule prevents most mistakes: choose the filter, bag and grille by the model name, not by size or appearance.
Six subsections covering 77 product pages
Dust collectors and accessories form the largest group (32 products), followed by nail drill bits (21), armrests and stands (17), dry-heat sterilisers (4), lamps (2) and nail drills (1). No product page appears in two subsections, so two very similar products next to each other really are two different items.
Dust collectors: 12 tabletop and 3 built-in
The fifteen models are divided by installation type, shown both in the name (“Tabletop dust collector” / “Built-in dust collector”) and in the “Type” filter. Built-in models are Tornado, Premium and Ego Ami. Tabletop models are Nano, Premium (white, black, grey), Tiny (white, black, grey), Prime, Soft, Handy, Ego Ami and Mini. Note that Premium and Ego Ami exist in both versions, so it is the words “tabletop” or “built-in” in the name, rather than the model, that determine what will arrive. Another detail: the black Premium is labelled “tabletop with controller”, while the white and grey versions have no such mention.
Choose consumables by model family
The filter section contains three different HEPA filters, each labelled with a list of models: the first is for Premium and Prime (the same filter for tabletop and built-in versions), the second for Tiny, Handy and Ami, and the third for Tornado and Nano. Remember that last pair: Tornado is built-in and Nano tabletop; they look like different appliances but share a filter. The Mini and Soft models have no filter at all—they use reusable spunbond bags, each on its own product page. These five listings cover all fifteen dust collectors in this section.
Packs of 3, 5 and 10 filters are available only for the Premium / Prime family; filters for Tiny / Handy / Ami and Tornado / Nano are sold individually. Bags are not sold in packs—they are reusable. Alongside them are dust wipesin two sizes, 100 per pack: 20×20 cm and Clean Comfort 25×30 cm, suitable for any model.
Grilles: tabletop and built-in versions are different parts
The grille section has six listings, all for Premium: three finishes (metal, gold and rose gold) in two installation versions. The catch is that the English part of each pair’s name is identical—“Ventilation grille for nail dust collector Premium, Gold”—and the entire difference is in the Ukrainian ending: “for a tabletop manicure dust collector” versus “for a built-inmanicure dust collector”. Read that particular word before adding it to your basket. There are no grilles for Tiny, Nano, Tornado, Handy, Ego Ami, Mini or Soft in the catalogue.
Four different items called a “rest” or “stand”
The armrests and stands section has 17 listings, and “rest” or “stand” covers four different things. The elbow support (Armrest) comes in seven colours: white, black, light grey, dark grey, pale pink, pearl and silver. The Premium magnetic manicure cushion, labelled “Hand Rest” in brackets, comes in five colours. The simple non-magnetic hand rest has two listings. The BALANCE pedicure dust collector stand comes in three colours; it supports the appliance, not the hands. Use the English part of the name as your guide: Armrest, Hand Rest or Stand for pedicure vacuum cleaner.
Nail drill bits: shape, diameter and grit colour
Twenty-one nail drill bits: seven carbide and fourteen diamond. The carbide shapes are a Ø 6 mm cone, Ø 5 mm corn-shaped bit and Ø 2.3 mm needle; the diamond shapes are balls (Ø 4 and Ø 5 mm), a Ø 3 mm rounded cylinder and pointed flames (Ø 2.1 and Ø 2.3 mm). The colour appears both in the name and in a separate “Grit” filter: 11 blue, 8 red and 2 green. For diamond bits, the manufacturer’s page explains the code directly—red is fine and blue medium. No such explanation is given for carbide bits, so check the manufacturer’s information for green rather than assuming the same rule.
The drill bit SKUs look systematic, but are not a good way to search. First, some codes use Cyrillic letters for the grit (the green cone and green corn-shaped bit use Cyrillic «С», the blue corn-shaped bit Cyrillic «М», while the blue cone and blue needle use Latin “M”); the characters look identical but differ in searches. Second, the first letter of the code does not indicate the shape: “C” is used for cones, corn-shaped bits and cylinders alike. It is easier to choose by shape and colour, or compare other brands in the general nail drill bit section and among diamond bits.
Sterilisation, lamps and a nail drill
The dry-heat steriliser section has four listings but two types of product: the Jupiter 10V and Mercury 2V sterilisers themselves (the latter holds three instrument pouches), plus kraft pouches with indicators in 60×100 and 100×200 mm, 100 per pack. There are two lamps with the same model code, LÜMOS S50-BA; only the words “with battery” in the more expensive model’s name distinguish them. There is one nail drill —Ego Apex, rated at 35 thousand revolutions.
Before ordering
Check three things: the exact model name of your dust collector (which determines the filter, bag and grille), the installation type, and the “(made to order)” label. It appears in nine names in this section, including black and grey Premium, white and grey Tiny, Soft, both dry-heat sterilisers, the dark-grey BALANCE stand and PowerStation 60.
