Mousse gel 01-06

Mousse gel — modeling gel with a thick creamy texture, created in collaboration with Lora Sheiderova × LUNAmoon. The material stretches plastically behind the brush, yet holds its shape well and does not spread during work. Thanks to minimal thixotropy, the gel is convenient for applying into top forms: it stays in place and provides enough time for precise modeling without rushing. The dense, controlled consistency allows working with several forms at once, without worrying that the material will flow or lose the desired architecture. A special effect is added to the coating by delicate sparkles that create a soft glow, reminiscent of a light rubbing effect.

Features:

• Has a very thick and viscous consistency, thanks to which the material does not spread and allows you to work calmly with the shape.
• Practically does not self-level, so the gel can be precisely applied with a brush and controlled at every stage of modeling.
• Has high strength after polymerization and preserves the built nail architecture well.
• By its properties, the material is close to hard, so during modeling it is important to control the thickness of the coating, especially in the cuticle area.
• Has moderate cushioning at a thickness of 1 mm, thanks to which it remains maximally stable and holds the arch well.
• Suitable for nail extensions and modeling.
• Requires a Rubber Base underlayer.
• UV/LED lamp power 36-48W.
• Permissible coating thickness 0.5 mm at the free edge / 1 mm at the apex.
• Full polymerization 120 seconds.

Application method:

REINFORCEMENT

1. Removal.
2. Do not file the nail shape or leave 2 mm in length, which we will remove after leveling.
3. File with 220 grit without strong pressure on the top of the nail, lifting the nail plate scales, or use a 100 grit buffer.
4. Do the manicure.
5. If working with removers, wash hands with soap after working with them.
6. Degrease the nail using Nail Prep LUNAmoon. Do two approaches. Use 4 wipes for this (1 wipe per 5 fingers). First approach: wipe the nail surface. Second approach: take an orange stick, wrap a wipe around it and wipe everything in the cuticle area and sidewalls.
7. Use primer optionally, but if the base coat has sufficient acidity, it is not needed.
8. It is best to apply the Rubber Base LUNAmoon underlayer with a flat gel brush. Movements should be rubbing. Paint all the sidewalls of the nail and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. Wipe off the dispersion layer.
10. Level the nail plate with gel, making a 0.5–1 mm indentation from the cuticle. Do not create excessive thickness in the cuticle area: the material is close to hard, so on the soft and mobile part of the nail plate, excess material may cause lifting. Cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
11. We file the shape after levelling. This is necessary to create thickness at the nail edge that will hold the free edge.
12. If the nail was thin, it may curl, so be sure to file 1 mm of the natural nail from the inside. This will prevent material lifting. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself will begin to detach from the hard material at the free edge.
13. After filing, wipe off the tacky layer and apply gel polish.
14. Apply top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing, as the shine may be lost.

CLASSIC NAIL EXTENSION

1. Removal.
2. Shorten the nail length to 1 mm and create a round shape.
3. Using a 220-grit file, file without strong pressure on the top of the nail, lifting the scales of the nail plate, or use a 100-grit buffer.
4. Perform a manicure.
5. If working with removers, wash hands with soap after handling them.
6. Degrease the nail using Nail Prep LUNAmoon. Do two passes. Use 4 wipes for this (1 wipe per 5 fingers). First pass: wipe the nail surface. Second pass: take an orange stick, wrap a wipe around it, and wipe everything in the cuticle area and sidewalls.
7. Use LUNAmoon primer.
8. It is best to apply the underlay from Rubber Base LUNAmoon with a flat gel brush. Movements should be pressing. Cover all sidewalls of the nail and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. Wipe off the tacky layer.
10. Place the extension form for the free edge of the nail.
11. Apply the artificial nail shape with clear gel. Cure for 30 seconds.
12. File the free edge and give the nail the desired shape.
13. Wipe off the tacky layer and excess dust.
14. Go over the areas where a file was used again with Rubber Base LUNAmoon. Cure for 30 seconds.
15. Perform gel sculpting, controlling material thickness and without overloading the cuticle zone. Make a small offset from the cuticle. Place in the lamp and pinch the arch around the 20th second of polymerization, as the gel contains glitter. After pinching, finish curing the material in the lamp.
16. Finish curing in the lamp for 120 seconds.
17. Wipe off the tacky layer before applying gel polish.
18. Apply top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing, as the shine may be lost.
