Mousse gel 01-06

Mousse gel — modeling gel with a thick creamy texture, created in collaboration Lora Sheiderova × LUNAmoon. The material stretches plastically behind the brush, while holding its shape well and not spreading during work. Thanks to minimal thixotropy, the gel is easy to lay into top forms: it stays in place and gives enough time for precise modeling without rushing. The dense controlled consistency allows you to work with several forms at once without worrying that the material will run or lose the desired architecture. Delicate glitter adds a special effect to the coating, creating a soft radiance in the light, similar to the effect of a light rubbing.

Features:

• Has a very thick and viscous consistency, due to which the material does not spread and allows you to work calmly with the shape.
• Practically does not self-level, so the gel can be accurately laid with a brush and control each stage of modeling.
• Has high strength after polymerization and preserves the built nail architecture well.
• In its properties, the material is close to hard, so during modeling it is important to control the thickness of the coating, especially in the cuticle area.
• Has moderate amortization at 1 mm thickness, due to which it remains as stable as possible and holds the arch well.
• Suitable for nail extensions and modeling.
• Requires a Rubber Base underlayer.
• UV/Led lamp power 36-48W.
• Allowable coating thickness 0.5 mm at the free edge / 1 mm at the apex.
• Full polymerization 120 seconds.

Application method:

STRENGTHENING

1. Removal.
2. Do not file the nail shape or leave 2 mm length, which we will remove after leveling.
3. Using a 220 grit file, file the top of the nail without strong pressure, lifting the scales of the nail plate, or use a 100 grit buffer.
4. Do a manicure.
5. If working with removers, wash hands with soap after working with them.
6. Degrease the nail using Nail Prep LUNAmoon. Do two approaches. Use 4 wipes for this (1 wipe per 5 fingers). First approach: wipe the nail surface. Second approach: take an orange stick, put a wipe on it and wipe everything in the cuticle area and the sinuses.
7. Use primer optionally, but if the base for the underlayer has sufficient acidity, it is not needed.
8. It is best to apply the Underlayer from Rubber Base LUNAmoon with a flat gel brush. The movements should be rubbing. Draw all the sinuses of the nail and dry in the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. Wipe off the dispersion layer.
10. Level the nail plate with gel, leaving a 0.5–1 mm indent from the cuticle. Do not create excessive thickness in the cuticle area: the material is close to hard, so on the soft and movable part of the nail plate, excess material can cause detachment. Dry in the lamp for 60 seconds.
11. After levelling, file the shape. This is necessary to create thickness at the nail edge which will hold the free edge.
12. If the nail was thin, it may curl, so always file 1 mm of the natural nail from the inside. This prevents material lifting. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself will begin to separate from the hard material at the free edge.
13. After filing, wipe off the tacky layer and cover with gel polish.
14. Apply top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. After curing, do not wipe with anything, as shine may be lost.

CLASSIC EXTENSION

1. Removal.
2. Shorten the nail length to 1 mm and create a round shape.
3. Using a 220 grit file, file the nail from above without strong pressure, lifting the nail plate scales, or use a 100 grit buffer.
4. Perform the manicure.
5. If working with removers, wash hands with soap after using them.
6. Degrease the nail using LUNAmoon Nail Prep. Do two passes. Use 4 wipes (1 wipe per 5 fingers). First pass: wipe the nail surface. Second pass: take an orange stick, place a wipe on it and wipe everything in the cuticle area and sidewalls.
7. Use LUNAmoon primer.
8. It is best to apply the underlay from LUNAmoon Rubber Base with a flat gel brush. Movements should be pressing motions. Paint all nail sidewalls and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. Wipe off the tacky layer.
10. Place the extension form for the free edge of the nail.
11. Apply clear gel to form the artificial nail. Cure for 30 seconds.
12. File the free edge and give the nail the desired shape.
13. Wipe off the tacky layer and excess dust.
14. Go over the areas where you used the file again with LUNAmoon Rubber Base. Cure for 30 seconds.
15. Perform the gel sculpting, controlling the material thickness and not overloading the cuticle area. Leave a small gap from the cuticle. Place in the lamp and pinch the arch approximately at the 20th second of polymerisation, since the gel contains glitter. After pinching, finish curing the material in the lamp.
16. Finish curing in the lamp for 120 seconds.
17. Wipe off the tacky layer before covering with gel polish.
18. Apply top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. After curing, do not wipe with anything, as shine may be lost.
