What is the difference between white replacement files and black ones:

The abrasive of white files consists of aluminum oxide, which makes them more flexible, soft and wear-resistant. Black files consist of silicon carbide, which makes them harder but more brittle.
White files have fine abrasive grains of rounded shape, which prevents injury to the nail plate. Black files have sharp-shaped abrasive that self-sharpens during filing.
White replacement files have a stearate coating that prevents clogging with organic dust; black files do not have a coating.
White files handle dry nail filing better, black files work well with wet nail filing.
The white color of the file is more hygienic than black during use; no streaks or grooves are visible on the file after filing, and light abrasive particles are not noticeable when they get onto artificial material during nail extensions.
