LUNAmoon. Glass Gel #01, 15 ml. Stained glass gel for nail extension
Description
Stained glass gel for nail extension Glass gel №1 — a polymer light-curing material for strengthening and extending nails. Thanks to the stained glass effect, the material allows you to create a transparent colored coating with depth and a glass effect.
The color intensity can be changed depending on the layer thickness: in a thin layer it creates the effect of a transparent colored veil; in thickness up to 2 mm it has a more pronounced color, but retains a transparent glass effect.
Features:
- Is acid-free.
- Has a medium consistency, closer to thinner.
- Not viscous, easy to pick up and apply with a brush.
- Self-levels well.
- Distributes evenly over the nail plate surface.
- Does not run during work.
- Light consistency reduces the risk of air bubbles during application.
- Suitable for strengthening the nail plate.
- Suitable for the "extension without filing" technique.
- Suitable for extension on top forms.
- Has shock absorption, does not crack upon impact.
- Becomes thicker in cold, and thinner in warmth.
- Can be additionally heated to make the consistency more liquid.
- Does not cause strong burning in the lamp.
Important:
- Requires a Rubber Base underlay.
- The thickness of the free edge must be at least 1 mm.
- Pre-curing with a flashlight — 10–15 seconds depending on power.
- Recommended wavelength for polymerization — 365–405 nm.
- Recommended power of UV/LED lamp — 36–48 W.
- Maximum material thickness per polymerization stage — up to 2 mm.
- Full polymerization — 120 seconds.
- If the material thickness is more than 3 mm, we recommend working in two stages with intermediate polymerization.
Application Method
STRENGTHENING
- Remove the previous coating.
- Do not file the nail shape or leave up to 2 mm of length, which we will remove after leveling.
- Using a 220 grit nail file, file the nail without strong pressure, lifting the scales of the nail plate, or use a 100 grit buffer.
- Do a manicure.
- If working with removers, wash hands with soap after working with them.
- Degrease the nail using Nail Prep LUNAmoon in two approaches. Use 4 wipes: 1 wipe per 5 fingers. First approach: wipe the nail surface. Second approach: place the wipe on an orange stick and thoroughly wipe the cuticle area and sinuses.
- Use primer as desired. If the base for the underlay has sufficient acidity, primer is not needed.
- The underlay from Rubber Base LUNAmoon is best applied with a flat gel brush using rubbing motions. Paint all the sinuses of the nail and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
- Remove the sticky layer.
- Perform leveling with Glass Gel, making a 0.5–1 mm indent from the cuticle. Cure in the lamp for 120 seconds.
- After leveling, file the shape. This is necessary so that a thickness forms at the edge of the nail that will hold the free edge.
- If the nail was thin, it may curl, so be sure to file 1 mm of the natural nail from the inside. This will help avoid material detachment. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself may start to separate from the hard material from the free edge.
- After filing, remove the sticky layer and clean up dust.
- If necessary, cover with gel polish.
- Cover with a top without sticky layer. Cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing to avoid losing shine.
CLASSIC EXTENSION
- Remove the previous coating.
- Shorten the nail length to 1 mm and give a round shape.
- Use LUNAmoon primer.
- The underlay from Rubber Base LUNAmoon is best applied with a flat gel brush using rubbing motions. Paint all the sinuses of the nail and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
- Remove the sticky layer.
- Install the form for extending the free edge of the nail.
- Apply the artificial nail shape with Glass Gel. Pre-cure in the lamp for 30 seconds.
- File the free edge and give the nail the desired shape.
- Remove the sticky layer and clean up dust.
- Reapply Rubber Base LUNAmoon to the areas where the file was used. Cure for 60 seconds.
- Perform leveling with Glass Gel, place in the lamp and clamp at the 10–15th second. If the material has stronger stickiness, clamp at the 20th second.
- Finish curing in the lamp for 120 seconds.
- Remove the sticky layer before applying gel polish.
- If necessary, cover with gel polish.
- Cover with a top without sticky layer. Cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing to avoid losing shine.
