Hardness, Elasticity, and Viscosity of Base: What's the Difference
A thick base is not necessarily hard, a runny base is not necessarily weak, and rubber is not a universal answer for any flexible nails. Viscosity describes how the material moves before polymerization; hardness and elasticity describe how it behaves after. For the right choice, you also need to consider length, plate condition, removal method, pigmentation, and system compatibility.<\/p>

During application, the technician primarily feels the consistency: one base spreads quickly, another holds a drop. After polymerization, other properties become more important: whether the coating bends with the nail, holds length, or cracks under impact.<\/p>
Because of this, two bases of the same consistency can have different wearability on the same plate.<\/p>
Viscosity: How Fast the Material Moves<\/h2>
Viscosity is the resistance of a fluid to flow.<\/p>
- Low viscosity: material spreads quickly and self-levels.<\/li>
