Mousse gel 01-06

Mousse gel — modelling gel with a thick creamy texture, created in collaboration with Lora Sheiderova × LUNAmoon. The material plastically stretches with the brush, while holding its shape well and not spreading during work. Thanks to minimal thixotropy, the gel is easy to place in top forms: it stays in place and allows enough time for precise modelling without rushing. The dense controlled consistency enables working with several forms at once without worrying about the material running or losing the desired architecture. A special effect is added to the coating by delicate glitter, which creates a soft shimmer in the light, similar to the effect of a light rubbing powder.

Features:

• Has a very thick and viscous consistency, thanks to which the material does not spread and allows you to work calmly with the shape.
• Practically does not self-level, so the gel can be precisely placed with a brush and controlled at every stage of modelling.
• Has high strength after polymerisation and maintains the built nail architecture well.
• In its properties, the material is close to hard, so during modelling it is important to control the thickness of the coating, especially in the cuticle area.
• Has moderate shock absorption at 1 mm thickness, thus remaining maximally stable and maintaining a good arch.
• Suitable for nail extensions and modelling.
• Requires a Rubber Base underlayer.
• UV/LED lamp power 36-48W.
• Allowable coating thickness 0.5 mm at the free edge/1 mm at the apex.
• Full polymerisation 120 seconds.

Application method:

STRENGTHENING

1. Removal.
2. Do not file the nail shape or leave 2 mm in length, which will be removed after leveling.
3. With a 180 grit file, file without strong pressure on top of the nail, lifting the nail plate scales, or use a 100 grit buffer.
4. Perform the manicure.
5. If working with removers, wash hands with soap after using them.
6. Degrease the nail using Nail Prep LUNAmoon. Perform two approaches. Use 4 wipes for this (1 wipe per 5 fingers). First approach: wipe the nail surface. Second approach: take an orange stick, place a wipe on it, and wipe everything in the cuticle area and the sidewalls.
7. Use primer optionally, but if the base for the underlayer has sufficient acidity, it is not needed.
8. Apply the Rubber Base LUNAmoon underlayer best with a flat gel brush. Movements should be rubbing in. Paint all nail sidewalls and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. Wipe off the inhibition layer.
10. Level the nail plate with the gel, leaving a 0.5-1 mm gap from the cuticle. Do not create excessive thickness in the cuticle area: the material is close to hard, so on the soft and mobile part of the nail plate, excess material can cause lifting. Cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
11. We file the shape after having leveled it. This is needed so that a thickness forms at the edge of the nail that will hold the free edge.
12. If the nail was thin, it may curl, so we always file 1 mm of the natural nail from the inside. In this case, there will be no material lifting. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself will begin to separate from the hard material at the free edge.
13. After filing, we wipe off the sticky layer and apply gel polish.
14. We apply top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. After curing, do not wipe with anything, as the shine may be lost.

CLASSIC EXTENSION

1. Removal.
2. Shorten the nail length to 1 mm and make a round shape.
3. With a 220 grit file, file without strong pressure on the nail from above, lifting the nail plate scales, or use a 100 grit buffer.
4. Perform a manicure.
5. If working with removers, wash hands with soap after working with them.
6. Degrease the nail using LUNAmoon Nail Prep. Do two passes. Use 4 wipes (1 wipe per 5 fingers). First pass: wipe the nail surface. Second pass: take an orangewood stick, place a wipe on it, and wipe everything in the cuticle area and grooves.
7. Use LUNAmoon primer.
8. It is best to apply a layer of LUNAmoon Rubber Base with a flat gel brush. Movements should be rubbing. Paint all the nail grooves and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. Wipe off the sticky layer.
10. Set the form for extending the free edge of the nail.
11. Lay out the shape of the artificial nail with clear gel. Cure for 30 seconds.
12. File the free edge and give the nail the desired shape.
13. Wipe off the sticky layer and excess dust.
14. Go over the areas where the file was used once again with LUNAmoon Rubber Base. Cure for 30 seconds.
15. Perform gel sculpting, controlling the thickness of the material and not overloading the cuticle area. Make a small indent from the cuticle. Place in the lamp and clamp the arch approximately at the 20th second of polymerization, as the gel contains glitter. After clamping, finish curing the material in the lamp.
16. Finish curing in the lamp for 120 seconds.
17. Wipe off the sticky layer before applying gel polish.
18. Apply top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. After curing, do not wipe with anything, as the shine may be lost.
