Tungsten carbide bits for manicure and pedicure are made of hard alloys containing tungsten and other elements. Diamond grinding is used to form and sharpen the cutting edge. Such manicure bits are durable, productive, and heat up much less during operation.
Tungsten carbide bits can work in one direction - clockwise (regular) and in two directions (reversible).
Unlike other attachments, tungsten carbide bits cut the material, producing shavings rather than dust. Most often, carbide bits are used to remove the upper keratinized layer of heels and calluses. These bits are also ideal for reducing the thickness of gel and acrylic during correction or removal of artificial nails.
