Mousse gel 01-06

Mousse gel — modelling gel with a thick creamy texture, created in collaboration Lora Sheiderova × LUNAmoon. The material stretches plastically under the brush while holding its shape well and not running during work. Thanks to minimal thixotropy, the gel is easy to apply into upside-down forms: it stays in place and gives enough time for precise modelling without haste. The dense controlled consistency allows working with several forms at once without worrying that the material will seep or lose the required architecture. Delicate glitter adds a special effect to the coating, creating a soft radiance in the light, similar to the effect of a light rubbing powder.

Features:

• Has a very thick and viscous consistency, thanks to which the material does not run and allows calm work with the shape.
• Practically does not self-level, so the gel can be precisely applied with a brush and every stage of modelling controlled.
• Has high strength after polymerisation and retains the built nail architecture well.
• In its properties the material is close to hard, so during modelling it is important to control the thickness of the coating, especially in the cuticle area.
• Has moderate amortisation in 1 mm thickness, thanks to which it remains maximally stable and holds a good arch.
• Suitable for nail extensions and sculpting.
• Requires an underlayer of Rubber Base.
• UV/LED lamp power 36-48W.
• Permissible coating thickness 0.5 mm at the free edge / 1 mm at the apex.
• Full polymerisation 120 seconds.

Application method:

STRENGTHENING

1. Removal.
2. The nail shape is not filed down or 2 mm in length is left, which will be removed after levelling.
3. Using a 180 grit file, file the nail from above without strong pressure, lifting the scales of the nail plate, or use a 100 grit buffer.
4. Perform manicure.
5. If working with removers, wash hands with soap after working with them.
6. Degrease the nail with Nail Prep LUNAmoon. Do two passes. Use 4 wipes (1 wipe for 5 fingers) for this. First pass: wipe the nail surface. Second pass: take an orange stick, place a wipe on it, and wipe everything in the cuticle area and in the sinuses.
7. Primer is used optionally, but if the base for the underlayer has sufficient acidity, it is not needed.
8. The underlayer from Rubber Base LUNAmoon is best applied with a flat brush for gel. The movements should be pressing-in. Paint all the sinuses of the nail and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. Wipe off the tackiness.
10. Level the nail plate with gel, making a 0.5-1 mm offset from the cuticle. In the cuticle area do not create excessive thickness: the material is close to hard, so on the soft and mobile part of the nail plate excess material can cause lifting. Cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
11. We file the shape after leveling. This is necessary to create thickness at the nail edge that will hold the free edge.
12. If the nail was thin, it may curl, so we must file 1 mm of the natural nail from the inside. In this case, there will be no material detachment. If the material is hard and the nail is very soft, the nail itself will begin to separate from the hard material at the free edge.
13. After filing, wipe off the tacky layer and apply color.
14. Apply top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. After curing, do not wipe with anything, as the shine may be lost.

CLASSIC EXTENSION

1. Removal.
2. Shorten the nail length to 1 mm and create a round shape.
3. Use a 220-grit file to gently buff the top of the nail, lifting the scales of the nail plate, or use a 100-grit buffer.
4. Do the manicure.
5. If working with removers, wash hands with soap after handling them.
6. Degrease the nail using Nail Prep LUNAmoon. Perform two passes. Use 4 wipes (1 wipe per 5 fingers). First pass: wipe the nail surface. Second pass: take an orange stick, wrap the wipe around it, and clean all areas in the cuticle zone and sidewalls.
7. Use LUNAmoon primer.
8. It is best to apply the foundation with Rubber Base LUNAmoon using a flat gel brush. Movements should be pressing. Outline all nail sidewalls and cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
9. Wipe off the tacky layer.
10. Place the extension form for the free edge.
11. Build the artificial nail shape with clear gel. Cure for 30 seconds.
12. File the free edge and shape the nail as desired.
13. Wipe off the sticky layer and excess dust.
14. Go over the filed areas again with Rubber Base LUNAmoon. Cure for 30 seconds.
15. Perform gel sculpting, controlling the material thickness and without overloading the cuticle area. Leave a small gap from the cuticle. Place in the lamp and pinch the arch around the 20th second of polymerization, as the gel contains glitter. After pinching, finish curing the material in the lamp.
16. Further cure in the lamp for 120 seconds.
17. Wipe off the tacky layer before applying color.
18. Apply top coat. Cure for 120 seconds. After curing, do not wipe with anything, as the shine may be lost.
